Thinkbait
Privacy policy
Last updated:
This notice explains how I use personal information when you visit this website, enquire, book a session or work with me.
Who is responsible
Thinkbait is the trading name of Zsike Peter, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. I am the controller of the personal information covered by this notice.
For privacy questions or requests, write to hi@thinkbait.co.uk.
What information I use
I use your name, contact details, role, business information, booking answers and correspondence; information supplied for client work; and invoices, billing details and payment records. Meetings involve your display name, contributions and notes. Agreed recordings may include audio, video, transcripts and AI-generated summaries. I also use relevant public professional profiles, recommendations and speaker information to understand experience and present my work.
Booking pages identify required fields. Without necessary details, I may be unable to arrange a session or deliver the work. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Website information is described below.
Why I use it
- Enquiries: steps you request before a contract with you, or legitimate interests in answering business enquiries.
- Services and events: performance of your contract, or legitimate interests in serving the organisation you represent.
- Invoicing and payments: contractual necessity; required financial records: legal obligations.
- Security, resolving problems and relevant records: legitimate interests in reliable operations, preventing misuse and establishing or defending claims.
- Professional credentials and recommendations: legitimate interests in explaining my experience to prospective clients.
Optional meeting recording relies on consent. The introductory booking form offers “Please do not record”. Ask me to stop or withdraw consent by email; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Booking or registration does not give consent to unrelated marketing.
Who helps process information
I share only information pertinent to the requested service with these categories of recipient:
- Website hosting, security and support services.
- Business email and document storage services.
- Appointment scheduling and online meeting services.
- Agreed recording and transcription services.
- Payment processors and business banking providers.
- Professional advisers and authorities when necessary for advice, accounting or legal obligations.
Some act on my instructions; others are independent controllers for their own legal and operational purposes. Payment providers handle card details; do not email card numbers.
Website technology and cookies
Hosting and security services receive your IP address and browser request details to deliver and protect the website. Cookies support hosting and bot protection; session storage remembers your scroll position.
With your consent, the hosting platform operates two optional usage-measurement systems to understand visits and website performance. They process pages visited, referring pages, browser details, language, approximate country derived from timezone, timestamps, session identifiers, campaign attribution, engagement, performance and errors. One uses a 30-minute analytics cookie.
Analytics is blocked until you choose to allow it. Choose “Essential only” to refuse, or use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice or withdraw consent. A necessary preference cookie remembers your choice for 180 days. If it cannot be saved, analytics stays blocked. Withdrawal stops further collection; it does not undo earlier lawful processing.
External booking links take you to the scheduling service, where its own privacy notice and cookie controls apply.
Information outside the UK
Some providers process information outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and United States. Their published terms describe applicable adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards, such as the UK Addendum to EU standard contractual clauses. Ask hi@thinkbait.co.uk about a particular transfer or for copies of relevant safeguards.
How long information is kept
Enquiries and bookings are kept while discussions, sessions and relevant follow-up remain active. Client records remain while needed for delivery, administration or disputes; recordings and notes only for their explained purpose; public professional evidence while relevant and accurate.
Sole-trader financial records are normally kept at least five years after the relevant tax year's 31 January filing deadline. Legal obligations or unresolved claims may require longer. Hosting and security logs follow provider retention arrangements. Information without a justified purpose should be deleted or anonymised; ask about particular records by email.
Your choices and rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restricted use or a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Rights have legal qualifications, including duties to retain tax records.
Your right to object: you can object to use based on legitimate interests, and you can object to direct marketing at any time.
Write to hi@thinkbait.co.uk to exercise a right or raise concerns. I may need to confirm your identity and locate records.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this notice
I will update this notice when information use changes and provide further information where required.
